Heart Breaking

And then came Valentine’s Day and the Cookie orders to manage… Everything local went well… but the shipping episode was horrible… 24 cookies, with 12 personalized messages to be delivered in 2 days, from Miami… to Los Angeles.
A disaster…

They were too thin, too delicate, too cute… and not strong enough for the “loving” care of UPS… The lady at the store was not very helpful… I was talking about my cookies as if they were made out of crystal “please be careful, pack them nicely so they can travel well. It’s 24 valentine cookies, with different messages on them, made with love, you understand, right? *delicate cookies*”… and her answer was “yeah, yeah,… cookies.” She was handling them as if they were a pile of dirt… The “two day air” shipment price was ridiculously expensive,… ground shipping might have been a better option but we didn’t have time…
They arrived in a million pieces… of course :((

For the next trial I’ll ship different cookies, use Fedex, and hopefully have more time…
